THE DORKS: ALL ABOUT THE CAT, RAT AND DOG

CAT: Is of course, Sohma Kyou, an arrogant, violent teenage boy who actually does have kind intentions no matter what he says or does. Kyou bears the curse of the juushi, and transforms into...the cat. In relevance to what another certain member of the Juunishi said, "The cat has been isolated from society for thousands of years...". That is, the truth. The cat was destined to live in the enclosed room, isolated from others after he graduates from high school (i.e. his ultimate fate). Kyou also carries around a false form. His true form is something much more sinister, and so far to date, only Tohru has been able to withstand her beliefs, and help Kyou in return.
Kyou longs to be treated as one of the family, and vows to beat Yuki in order to achieve a position in the Sohma family.

"Its okay to be selfish sometimes...sure, if you were like that all the time, it would get annoying...but with you, it's okay to be selfish."

RAT: *smirk* Sohma Yuki, the Princeof the high school. Though on the surface he appeaers just like a prince charming, his un-neatness certainly goes against the 'prince' appearance. Yuki takes the form of the rat, which was considered the traitor of the Juunishi, as it was the rat that causes the cat to miss out on the banquet, and it also rode on the back of the ox, in order to arrive at the feast first.
Yuki Sohma's dream was not to be included in the family, but to be free of the family, and have his freedom. Yuki, when he was a child, was abused by Akito, the head of the family. When he reached for help from his brother, Ayame, his brother just shook him off, leaving him to die. Many years after the incident now, Ayame is trying to reach out to Yuki, but Yuki, having now built up a cold exterior, refuses any contact with his brother.

"There was always something that I wanted: friends I could depend on. Things that I could never forget, a home that I could go back to, a place where everyone laughs and smiles, to be a person who can keep his friends. Warm places, warm people... they are real."

DOG: "High school girls! High school girls!" is a common quote from Sohma Shigure, alas, the dog in the juunishi. He acts as the (irresponsible) guardian of Yuki, Honda Tohru and Kyou and also, owner of his house. Shigure is, unfortunately a writer, and constantly plays pranks on his editor, Mi, about his manuscripts not being finished on time.
Shigure is commonly called a pervert, or idiot by Yuki and Kyou when he says certain...and unappropriate things. Beyond all this however, Shigure has a good heart.

"And that helpful someone gives hope and courage to the one that is hurt. Tohru is that helpful someone, isn't she? Tohru is very cute too, you know?"

FURUBA?

Also known as Fruits Basket, Furuba is a manga drawn by Natsuki Takaya, and is also an anime (that is ultra popular). Furuba tells the tale of Honda Tohru, who happens to pass by Shigure's House, meet Yuki and Kyou, and eventually move in with them. Throughout this tale, she meets the other juunishi animals, and continues to change each one into something for the better.

CAMARADERIE?

According to the dictionary: Camaraderie means a friendship, alliance and companionship. It is used to describe the relationship the rat, dog and cat have. This fanlisting was previously owned by Jasmine, and is handed over to me, Isabella.
